Graduate students are highly encouraged to apply for the following fellowship opportunities to support their career development, and research activities.

AFPE Pre-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Students enrolled in a Ph.D. or joint Pharm D./Ph.D. program and have completed the equivalent of 3 full semesters of graduate credit toward the Ph.D. and will be awarded the Ph.D. degree within 3 additional years may be eligible for a pre-doctoral fellowship.
McKnight Doctoral Fellowship Program
Funding and support for new Ph.D. students through the Florida Education Fund
NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)
Senior undergraduate, first- and second-year graduate students in eligible STEM fields and degree programs are also encouraged to apply.
Deadlines: April 8, August 8, and December 8 annually
NIH F31. Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award
Support promising predoctoral students with potential to develop into a productive, independent research scientists, to obtain mentored research training while conducting dissertation research. The F31 is also used to enhance workforce diversity though a separate program.
PhRMA Fundation Predoctoral Fellowships
Predoctoral fellowships provide $30,000 per year for 12, 18 or 24 months.

GRINTER FELLOWSHIP
Added incentive for recruiting new, truly exceptional Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Fine Arts students to UF. If you are a graduate student interested in this fellowship, please contact the academic unit of your degree program for more information.

KAREN A. HOLBROOK GRADUATE RESEARCH ENDOWMENT
This award provides $2,000 yearly to help UF Ph.D. students in the health sciences to attend conferences and workshops.

Board of Education Summer Fellowship Program
newly enrolled underrepresented PhD students to participate in our six-week summer program. BOE is designed as an orientation to graduate education and promotes acclimation to the University of Florida.
UF Office of Research Graduate Student Request for Travel Funds
Highest priority will be given to doctoral level students and students in other terminal degree programs who are invited to give major talks, are in their final year of their programs and are presenting work at a national meeting

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARS PROGRAM
University Scholars receive a stipend to commit 8-10 hours per week on a research project under the guidance of UF faculty.
EMERGING SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Emerging Scholars Program encourages early undergraduate students who are interested in adding a research experience to their curriculum at the freshman or sophomore year to apply for this entry-level program. This opportunity provides stipend for awardee.

UF MARC GatorSTAR Program
MARC fellows will be appointed in the summer of each year for two years. During their appointment, MARC fellows participate in intensive biomedical research with a UF faculty mentor, receive weekly professional development training, and are provided a stipend of about $1,100 per month and a 60% tuition scholarship, among other benefits. Over 80% of prior UF MARC fellows have continued to prestigious PhD or MD/PhD programs after graduation.
