EMERGING SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The Emerging Scholars Program encourages early undergraduate students who are interested in adding a research experience to their curriculum at the freshman or sophomore year to apply for this entry-level program. This opportunity provides stipend for awardee.

UF MARC GatorSTAR Program

MARC fellows will be appointed in the summer of each year for two years. During their appointment, MARC fellows participate in intensive biomedical research with a UF faculty mentor, receive weekly professional development training, and are provided a stipend of about $1,100 per month and a 60% tuition scholarship, among other benefits. Over 80% of prior UF MARC fellows have continued to prestigious PhD or MD/PhD programs after graduation.
If you are 1) a sophomore, 2) considering a career in biomedical research, 3) are from a group that has been traditionally under-represented in the sciences, and 4) are a US citizen or permanent resident, consider applying for the UF MARC GatorSTAR fellowship program
